Klingon: Bird of Prey

Oh yeah.. I forgot about this place. Well, I stayed up 'til 3 in the morning piecing together this new project. Using old Krazy Glue, and I don't know if all my paints are dried up or not. Picked up this Klingon Bird of Prey model at Value Village for cheap, so if it turns out I can't paint models bigger than miniatures, I won't have wasted a bunch of money.

Taking some much-needed time off work in an effort to lower stress levels and feel somewhat human. This project and 'Oblivion' should fill the time nicely, as well as cleaning my apartment top-to-bottom for an annual inspection on the 13th.

Tyranid: Termagants (more)

The ugly blue-tinged termagant was my tester for trying out different colour schemes and painting techniques. He has been through so much that I don't have the heart to take away his blue undercoat.. but he's still ugly.

Haven't thought of any hive-fleet name/fluff yet.

The carapace patterns are based on leaves near my uncle's old cottage.

This isn't one of the leaves in question, but it's similar.

Tyranid: Spore mines

I don't remember where I found this metal boxing glove fig, but he is my favourite 'spore mine' LOL

Macragge: Dutiful

"I'm fairly new to 40k, even though I bought my first models several years ago. I played one full game and loved it! I went out and bought too many models, started converting, even painted a little, then my daughter was born.Three years later, Black Reach has prompted me to pull my models out of the back corner of the closet and give them another shot at reaching the battlefield.

It's almost three A.M. and I just finished painting the Dutiful from the Battle for Macragge set.

Not going for any awards or anything, so there are some fine details I decided to leave out, but I think I ended up with some nice functional scenery of this non-functional ship."

-- Taken from my LO post, Why? Cuz I'm lazy.
